The food and the drink are always an important part of the wedding reception. There are so many variables that could change the mood and the atmosphere of the evening, but when it comes to the food, there are lots of options.
For instance, I love the idea of having an elaborate breakfast buffet with a few of my favorite chefs in attendance. The problem is that it doesn’t always seem to be the case for some other couples.
I was at a wedding about two years ago and I can honestly say that there were not a lot of options. The bride & groom made a decision to go with a more subdued dinner party, where they would have a few of the most important family members in attendance for their reception. However, the only thing on the menu was one of their favorite dishes, which was an appetizer of some sort that was very difficult to make.
What they chose was a restaurant in a location that was fairly close to the church. There was no problem with the food and the service was generally excellent. I did have a few issues though. The first was that the restaurant had a menu that was not exactly what I expected. The first item on the menu was a appetizer of some sort that I had no idea what it was for.
The restaurant didn’t have a menu, so it’s not really clear what the appetizer was for. The other thing is that there was no menu.
The menu is a lot of things, but the most important thing to remember is that when I was there, I had ordered something that I really didn’t know what it was for. I didn’t find the food to be any less appetizing than what I expected, but it didn’t provide me with an accurate description of what I ordered.
The restaurant was very busy. So busy that there was no room to ask the staff what the name of said appetizer was or why its on the menu. So I guess its safe to say that no one had the slightest idea what it was for.
I dont know if you can tell from the above, but I can say that in the five years I’ve been on Deathloop I’ve eaten the exact same thing over and over and over and over again.
What most people probably should have been ordering was a chicken liver mousse. Also, I’d like to point out that the waiter was a little too friendly and asked me if I wanted some wine before I asked what it was and he said no. A lot of people might have paid the bill and gotten a free appetizer if they wanted it, but the waiter was a dick.
While restaurants are great for the social occasion that they bring to your life, they are also great places for the people who work there. They can get you a glass of wine or a beer or a glass of red wine and a glass of white wine without having to sit through a lengthy, often awkward, conversation about your life. The people who work in restaurants deserve to be treated with respect and dignity.
