I think navy blue dresses are a wonderful color and look amazing on everyone, not just the bride. I also think they are super versatile, like I can wear them for every occasion.
The dress my husband and I are wearing in the above pic is the same one I wore for our wedding and reception last year. But I did have a little mishap with the one I wore for my reception. I have 2 dresses, the one I wore for the reception was a navy blue dress and the one I wore for the wedding was a white dress. I wore both dresses last year and this year.
I can see why you’d want to wear different colors for different occasions. The navy blue is so iconic and versatile that it’s hard to find a pair that is not navy blue. I don’t know of a single wedding that I can think of that didn’t use navy blue. But if I were to recommend a style or color for a wedding I would say navy blue. So if your wedding is to be in a large park with a sea of people then I would definitely recommend navy blue.
It turns out that we are all really great at the things that we like and dislike. We are all really great at deciding what colors we want to wear and then sticking with it. Even better, we all have a pretty good idea of what we dislike, too.
For example, I am really terrible at shoes, but I don’t know that I am. In fact, I know that I hate the color blue. But I don’t know that I will wear it, either. If I do it’s likely that I will end up in a bikini. Unless I get to be the bride. That would be pretty awesome! I think that I’ll just wear navy blue shoes for the rest of the day.
Wedding dress shopping is not an obvious choice for most people. It’s not because it’s bad, but because most wedding couples haven’t yet gotten around to making a formal dress. So, they are still wearing the same basic dress and have the same basic flaws.
This is the same concept that happens with clothing shopping. You want something you can wear everyday and not have to worry about looking at and worrying about what it looks like on the outside, right? Even if you have a beautiful dress that looks great on the outside, the only real way you can style it and make it look good on the inside is by getting it in the right colors and wearing it the right way.
And so when you’re shopping for a wedding dress, first you want to determine what color you want to go for and what color you want to wear so you can get that right. Then you want to find the right size of dress so you can match your body type and style and match with your outfit. And last, but certainly not least, you want to buy the right dress so you can get the look that you want.
With all this in mind, we’ve decided to put together a list of the wedding dresses that have hit our radar. These are the dresses that we feel are the most beautiful, which means they look the most beautiful and are the most flattering on the bride-to-be.
The dresses are chosen by the bride and groom who are the experts in their own right when it comes to finding wedding dresses. They’ll also look at the dress designers, so there is a level of “advice and consent” involved in choosing a dress. We also love that these dresses are not just limited to the brides, but are available for brides-to-be as well.
