This cake was absolutely gorgeous, and the wedding we had was also stunning. The wedding cake was made with a layer of white cake topped with three layers of chocolate cake. It was topped with a layer of chocolate fondant and a layer of white fondant. The layers of fondant were then placed on top of the cake and topped with a layer of white fondant. The final layer was then placed on top of the white fondant.
The cake was topped with the fondant in layers, allowing the layers to be stacked so that the cake, fondant, and fondant are then layered together. I thought the fondant used for the cake was called “white fondant” and not just “fondant”.

I would also assume it’s because the cream is made out of the same icing as the white cake.
