A long time ago, I used to have to take out the garbage. I always had to put out the trash. And now I don’t have to do that. Instead, I put out the garbage. I do it at night when I clean up. I don’t know why, but I thought it was something that I’d have to do every time I washed dishes, but once I started, it was not only easier, it was a way of life.
The idea of putting the garbage out every night is something that seems to have taken root in our culture. The idea that we should be spending less time and energy cleaning our homes is the reason that we recycle so much. But, like many other things, that idea has been co-opted by the so called “Green” movement, which is basically a belief in the benefits of cutting our usage of resources.
The idea of “green” as a movement is a joke. All manner of green stuff is being sold in stores around the world and it is all being consumed. It’s not that we don’t have resources. We do, but we’re not using them to the greatest extent possible. As it turns out, the idea of “green” is a marketing ploy. It is nothing but a scam.
The idea of cutting resources to conserve them is the very least that Green movement advocates have in mind. The way they sell the idea is by declaring that they need to keep the earth’s ecosystems in balance as they are destroying the natural environment. This is just another way to say we need to cut back on the use of resources, because otherwise a few green companies will be able to pull the wool over our eyes.
Cutting back on the use of resources is a noble idea, but only if you have a real reason for doing it. Cutting back on water usage is probably great, but cutting back on the use of power and resources that can be used to help the environment is just as bad.
The current economy is based on the extraction of resources. The extraction of resources creates wealth for the companies and the profit for the shareholders. If these companies were to reduce their extraction of resources they would have to cut back on their shareholders. That means cutting back on their profit. So cutting back on resources is a bad idea for the planet, but a good idea for the companies.
With that in mind, it’s not very surprising that in the last couple of years the oil companies have been trying to force the governments of the world to do things that will harm the environment. It’s not just the extraction of resources that is damaging the environment either. One of the biggest problems with the oil industry is the way it pollutes our air. It’s not exactly easy to breathe.
In other words, the best way to protect the environment is to use it more. The oil companies think that by cutting back on extraction they will be able to sell more oil, which will save the environment and the companies will keep their profits. Its a bit of a double-edged sword though because they will also be cutting back on the other kind of resource they are extracting.
The world’s oil companies are now trying to convince the world that using less oil is not necessary because oil is not the only resource that is out there. Another of the bigger problems is that they aren’t using any of the oil they are extracting to produce the stuff they are selling. Instead, the oil companies are buying up cheap natural gas from people who live in countries where it is cheaper to use and extracting it themselves.
As the world gets more and more reliant on oil, we are going to run into an increasing number of countries that are going to have to decide whether or not to allow fossil fuels to get into their territory. The end result will be some very expensive wars, expensive oil, and plenty of death.
