I’ve made wonderful connections with people who have the same mindset when it comes to mental health awareness. Susan the editor, and the team are a pleasure to work with. A Lust for Life has had millions of views since our launch in October 2015, with a worldwide reach. See below for some testimonials written by our community of A Lust for Life contributors. As we receive a large volume of submissions, we may not be able to reply to you soon. But, we’ll send a confirmation with the link if we accept and publish your article.
We recommend your article 2,000 to 2,500 words. Your tone should be informative, fun and friendly! If the topic is heavier, then change your tone accordingly.
The tone should be informative, hopeful, and inspiring. Start there and remember your purpose for writing. You should be able to write an article of at least 800 words. We are not in a position to pay for content. Your work will be accepted purely on a voluntary basis.
Photo by Amelia Bartlett on UnsplashMental health and psychology are popular niches for writers. As a result, competition is tough, and it can be hard to find paid opportunities. Many sites offer unpaid guest post opportunities which are great for marketing your business, but not so good for paying the bills. After scouring the web and conducting some research, I’d like to share my results with you here. Our aim is to help our readers to understand mental health and to provide useful and actionable tips that increase our audience’s quality of life. We want to inspire our readers with knowledge of physical health and mental wellness.
We cannot accept articles which are advertorials or which are written in order to sell a product or service. We have a policy of not including dofollow links or any other links within the body of an article unless it is to peer-reviewed, evidence-based research to support what the article is saying. The Ability Toolbox has a limited budget and is unable to pay for every submission or pitch we receive. We also understand that not all writers are seeking to get paid, and that sometimes rewards such as having your work published, connecting with others, and raising awareness are just as important. If you’re looking for a place to share your blog posts or other previously-published work, or just want to write about a topic we can’t offer payment for, we’d still love to work with you.
Writing for A Lust for Life is sort of like tangible good karma. With regard to the theme of an article, we like to leave this up to the author to suggest. Perhaps ask yourself ‘what is particularly resonant in my work/life at the moment’ or is there a theme that you feel strongly you’d like to write about, and others to read? This can be a societal/cultural matter, an article that offers really practical guidance on a specific issue, or something you feel needs to be highlighted, for example. You can submit an original article for consideration that is not already published anywhere else, even on your own website.
