If I find a good dresser that needs a makeover, I’ll grab it quicker than a kid picking up sweets in a candy store. From a creative standpoint, I love dressers because of the countless ways you can transform them, however, my rational/practical side also loves them because you can do so many different things with them. I’ve used dressers in each room of our house, and today, I’ll share 4 of my favorite cheap dressers uses.
1. Buffet:
When you are entertaining and want more buffet/serving space, pull out a vanity. They can be set up against an empty wall as an extension of the buffet table. You can keep more napkins and cutlery in the drawer so you can without difficulty discover when extra guests show up.
2. Bar:
When your morning routine is over and night falls, you can turn your coffee station into a cocktail bar. A few Christmases ago, I pulled out a dresser to use as a bar. It’s perfect! I was able to save everything I needed in the drawer with all the glasses, wine, and wine on it. It makes mixing holiday cocktails a breeze.
3. Transfer station:
I use the dresser as a changing table for our kids. My husband put the sides on top and we put the changing pad on top. The dresser has ample storage area for everything you need when changing your baby. Not only is it functional, but it is also more aesthetically pleasing than a typical changing table.
4. Entertainment Center:
The final use of a dresser is an entertainment center. We’ve done this many times, and recently I rescued a dresser from the curb and turned it into an entertainment center. You can take the drawers out for shelves or use them for storage.
Why is the dresser important?
Dresser provides extra glamour to the bedroom. It provides a storage area for personal items and can be used as decoration in a room. Without a doubt, the bed is the heart of any bedroom.
Does the bedroom need a dresser?
A dresser is not a must-have for bedroom furniture, however, it is very useful. If you do not have a closet with built-in drawers or a way to save folded clothes neatly, you may want to invest in a dresser. If a small house is an issue, see if you can improvise and pass the vanity to the nearest spot.
Where should I put my dresser?
The best area to place a dresser in a room is by the bed, across from it, in the nook of the room, or at the foot of the bed. You can even locate a dresser in front of the window. These areas are best for showing off your vanity whilst ensuring it is easily accessible and within reach.
Conclusion
In final words, a dresser adds extra glamour to the bedroom. It provides a storage area for personal items and can be used as decoration in a room. Without a doubt, the bed is the heart of any bedroom. If you are looking to buy a new dresser, I recommend you to buy new dressers from online stores at the best prices.
