I’ve been a do-it-yourselfer since before I could even remember. Over the years, I’ve learned how to do everything from painting my own home to putting together a complete wedding. I’ve also taught myself how to do all kinds of other DIY projects, from sewing for my husband to making my own jewelry.
And now Ive got a flock of doves.
I first heard about wedding doves in the late 90s, when I was still married to my first husband. The idea was that instead of having a formal wedding that everyone can attend, you could throw a party where the guests would decorate the doves themselves. Ive always wondered if this was even possible considering how expensive it would be.
Actually, it’s not really expensive at all. It’s only $6 to buy a dozen doves (and to buy a dozen balloons and a handful of decorations). Wedding doves are a one-time thing, so you can throw them at your favorite caterer on your special day, if you so choose.
The real question is, will the doves actually fly? Ive always had a suspicion that they would, but never really tried. I don’t think you can just let them out of their netting in a windstorm. I know it doesn’t sound like much, but when you’re trying to keep them under control, it really counts.
The thing that makes no sense is that the doves are no longer flying in the wind. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like my head is just spinning.
I just found out that they’re not actually doing any flying this year, but they are still in their netting. But they’re not in the netting, they’re in the wind.
There are a couple of ways you can keep doves in the netting. You can simply put them in a netting box, and they can’t get out. And you can put your netting in a windstorm with the doves in it. Or you can just let them out of their netting in a windstorm.
Well, this is a dovecote, and dovecotes are allowed in the city of Arkane. They are a legal, non-lethal way of keeping doves in your netting, but you can never get more than one in your netting at a time.
I think the easiest way to keep doves in the netting is to put them in a netting box, and then put the netting in a windstorm. They can get out if you put them in a windstorm, but they can’t get out of the netting in a windstorm.
