This year, my husband and I made the decision to have the first of our very own sunflower weddings. The idea came from a dream I had years ago just like so many others. We wanted to have a little something special for our future grandkids, the ones we’ve been waiting our entire lives for. A sunflower wedding is one of the easiest things to do with a small wedding. It isn’t as extravagant, but just as special.
It’s a great idea to have your own sunshine themed wedding in your own backyard. I love that you can make your own arrangements, make use of the same flowers you had in your wedding, and just have fun. It really does open up time, space, and creativity to your wedding day.

The only problem is if you want your cake to look good, you need to bake it. You can bake it the day before and then refrigerate it for a few days. But if you want to cover it with florals, you can’t refrigerate the cake for that long. You have to try it on the wedding day, which is why it can be quite a hassle.
I love the idea of having a bride and groom who are married for the rest of their lives. It means that no matter what happens in their lives, they’re still together, forever.
The idea of a wedding isn’t exactly new. Many cultures have traditions for weddings, and the United States was one of the first countries to recognize the union between a man and a woman. I’ve seen the idea of a married couple have always been on the back burner of my mind, but this is the first time I’ve seen it in action.
