The design of a reception desk is an important decision because as the space is used, the design will change. It may be the height of the desk, the amount of space an open-plan space can create, or the way the space can be used.
As a design, reception desks are basically a room with an open and free-floating piece of furniture. That makes them hard to categorize. They can range from the most basic and obvious, like the reception desk I have at work, to the most sophisticated and elaborate, like the one in the gallery above.
The reception desk is a small desk, with a vertical piece of furniture called a “reception chair” that is in the middle of the desk. Typically, these chairs are just a few inches high and only a few feet long. A reception desk is more of an art than a design because it comes with a lot of options. It can be square, round, or even round and square. You can use them for writing, typing, or reading.
The key to a reception desk is to use a material that is both durable and comfortable. There are some beautiful materials out there that can be used for this purpose, but a good example of this type of design is the desk I have at work. It’s made of aluminum, and it’s incredibly durable thanks to that.
An office desk is generally made out of wood, steel, or plastic. Aluminum is a popular material for desks because it’s easy to work with, but aluminum is also a very durable material. The reason for this is that aluminum is almost indestructible and can withstand many times its weight. This is a good thing because, even though it’s durable, aluminum is also quite heavy and can be difficult to move around.
Aluminum is also very prone to rust, so it’s not recommended for use in an office environment. It also tends to corrode as it ages. On the other hand, a composite material like aluminum or steel is much more forgiving when used outdoors.

The desk itself does appear to be made out of the same plastic material used in the desk’s legs. But it does have a rough texture to it so that it will not scratch the walls. This desk is made of the combination of aluminum and plastic in a ratio of two to one. The material of these two materials is not the same, so the finished desk will not be as durable as one that is made with only aluminum and plastic.
I have been told that this desk is the first desk that uses the “plastic” material of the legs, but I have not been able to confirm or deny this. I did find this desk by chance, but it was not in my price range. It is very sturdy, however, and I’d be interested to know how long it will last.
