Pretty place chapel weddings are a fairly new concept, and you can see why. In an attempt to make the wedding experience as cheap as possible, most of the chapel settings are pretty small (especially the reception area where you can drink and dance and drink and dance and drink), but this chapel is very large and pretty. It’s also pretty pretty.
But it’s still a chapel. And that is a pretty big word. And it also means that a pretty place chapel wedding costs a pretty damn lot. The cost of a wedding (including flowers, food, and travel) can top $40,000. The average wedding is about $6,000 to $8,000. So when you get a pretty place chapel wedding, that’s $40,000 you can’t really spend, even if you have a very nice budget.
Sure, the church does have a pretty chapel, but the fact that it is a pretty chapel is its primary selling point. When the bride arrives she is handed a sign that says the chapel is “all yours… all yours.” That pretty well covers it. If you are planning to be married in a church, you may want to look into other venues.
The chapel on its own is pretty boring, but if you are marrying in a church, you can’t afford not to give a gift to your bride. Pretty place chapels are more likely to have a lot of very expensive decorations and services, so they are the more expensive. You could also, like we did, pay for a wedding coordinator to help you out.
It’s worth noting that you cant get married in most of the churches in the area. That said, if you are not marrying in a church, there are a few places where you can get married in a church setting, even if you are not marrying anyone. For example, in our area, there are a number of small churches that allow just about anyone to marry in a room, so you can choose your own venue.
I know a lot of people who never took the plunge into the city of the future because they were afraid of cost, but many people are in fact willing to pay for weddings. It just depends on the location, the size of the ceremony, and how big the ceremony is. I had a nice ceremony in a nice cathedral (we did the rings before the ceremony) but the price of it was a bit on the pricey side.
I’m not saying that every bride and groom should pay for it, but there are ways around that. In fact, I’d like to see that more and more wedding services start offering wedding plans for less than the actual cost.
If your wedding is in a nice place, with a nice ceremony, and you’re looking for the cheapest way to get married, you could make a very good case for hiring a local church to do it for you. If you’re really worried about the cost, there are options of hiring a wedding planner.
