Many of these wedding venues are very old and in bad shape. So that makes them expensive places to hold weddings. Also, they are not nearly as cheap as a wedding venue that is new.
I think this is a good point. There are several inexpensive wedding venues. It will be even cheaper if you can buy the wedding venue itself. But if you spend thousands of dollars to have a wedding that is not in good condition, then you are actually spending money on something that is not worth it. In some ways most of these venues are no more expensive than a hotel room. But for less money we can stay at a venue that is much more unique and special.
