The interior design of a home is just as important as the exterior decoration, and that’s why I’m always on the lookout for the things that go along with a futuristic interior design.
In a futuristic house, a room would likely be more open and wide than the rest, but would have an almost sculptural design. One example is a wall of glass that would act as a barrier between the living space and the outside world.
One example would be an outdoor dining room, whose walls are made of glass, so you can have a view of the outside world. Another example would be a bedroom which would have a glass-walled inner space in which you could take a shower or a bath. Then there’s the glass-walled bathroom, if you wanted to get away from water, but still have a view of the outside world.
I wish our design was so futuristic that it could actually function as a real bathroom. I mean, we have all of these glass walls, but how do we actually get them to make a real difference? I know, we could just use a mirror. But let’s do something more inventive and innovative, like using a glass ceiling.
Well, no one really knows for sure. The idea that a glass ceiling can actually be used to reflect sunlight or even water is a bit of a stretch. A lot of the glass ceiling designs, even in the movies, don’t really make any sense. A few years ago, the building industry started doing a lot of really great work with a new kind of glass ceiling called “caulked glass.
You see, caulked glass is a special type of glass that was created to make glass more flexible. The idea is that a little bit of adhesive is glued to the inside of the glass. When sunlight shines on it, it causes it to bend slightly, making it more flexible. The glass is then installed on top of a foundation, and it has no real support. In fact, there are often some floors that are just cement or concrete.
The fact that caulked glass is so flexible is very cool. However, caulked glass is also very expensive. So if you don’t want your home to be as flexible as a bag of chips, you’d better have a pretty fancy design. My favorite example of this is the new glass wall at my office which is covered with a bunch of different colored cement. It looks like this.
My favorite example of this is a new section of wall that is covered with the same color cement, but it’s actually an expensive piece of concrete. The reason is this: If you use the cement as a covering material for a glass wall, you are essentially making a window. This means you have to seal the cement up with a special membrane that is expensive as it is.
I was in the office for almost two hours today, and I managed to take a look at this wall and see that it’s actually a pretty cool idea. It looks kind of like the inside of a real glass wall, but without the windows.
