My internship in fashion marketing has taught me so much about the industry and the people in it. I learned how to work with new people, how to learn from them, how to set up the right environment for them to succeed, and how to make them feel like they are valued.
Fashion is such an industry of its own, with so many different types of people working in it. It’s easy to see how people can get stuck working in fashion and not take advantage of all the great opportunities that come along with it. I can’t tell you how many people I’ve met who just don’t get it, but I’ll say this: it’s worth it.
A word of warning though. You are going to need to be willing to work with others. I know this because one of my fashion marketing internships was with a new employee who was totally unresponsive and unwilling to work with me, but he was just so beautiful that I had to. Not everyone is able to have a relationship with their intern or even the manager, but this internship was a great learning experience for me.
I can’t say I ever had a great relationship with my intern, but I’m sure most of my fashion interns feel the same way. I know I’m not the only intern who likes my interns just as much as I do.
I think the best fashion interns I ever worked with are the ones who were a little more into fashion than I was. And if that makes me an elitist, I am so sorry.
The best fashion interns I worked with were the ones who took time to really know me and understand the culture of the company they were interning for. I think I would have been even happier spending all my time working in a factory, just doing tedious, uninteresting work, but I guess I liked interning more than I liked working in a factory.
For sure. Maybe I was a little too focused on the fashion. I always had a tendency to get fixated on the fashion, but I think it was more a case of me just not being that interested in it. I’m just glad that I got to find out more about it when I joined the intern program.
It was a big one. I was interning in a fashion marketing company in New York City. They hired me to intern for a month in a different fashion company in New York City. I didn’t really have a lot of plans for the rest of the internship. They had a small office, a tiny office, and a tiny office. There was a lot of paperwork and I was assigned to the office. I wasn’t assigned to a department or anything.
I am interning at a fashion marketing company in NYC. I have a lot of work to do and I dont really have any plans for the rest of the internship. I have some very small, very specific things I want to do with my internship. I want to be involved in more of the marketing team. I want to be involved in the sales team. I want to be involved in how things are marketed.
Fashion marketing, and the clothing industry in general, can be very fun, but it can also be a lot of work. If you’re not willing to invest the time and energy to do something fun with your internship, then you’re probably just not going to put in the work to get something out of it. If you’ve been working in fashion marketing for a long time, you know how much work it can be.
