A favorite quote from Fashion Week NY is by the renowned fashion designer, Peter Som, “I don’t need to be a trend setter to be fashionable. I just need to be fashionable.” So it is with fashion. I love to try out new styles and try new styles of clothes on, but I’m also sure that I have seen it all. Which is why I was curious to find out just how many fashion trends actually make it into the closet.
With that in mind, I want to say that there are two types of fashion trends that you can count on to make it into the closet: 1) trends that are so popular that people will actually buy them in bulk and 2) trends that are just so cute that no one buys them.
I know most people think that I am a terrible fashion critic, but it is a trend that I just find incredibly fun to look at and something that I would like to see more of in the real world. The two types of fashion trends that I would love to see more of are 1) more and bigger 2) more and more.
I think college fashion is something that I can see trending right now as a lot of students wear cute clothing that is very casual and not very formal. There is a large group of students who wear the cute clothing that I referenced in my last tweet that are also the trendy people. I think that is something that is going to be very hard to kill. I think that this is just the start of fashion trends to become more mainstream.
I think the trend is that the trendy people are the ones that look like they have a lot of fun and they are very casual. The cool students are more formal which is what I think is going to kill it. I don’t know if I would say that the cool students are “more” trendy or more casual. I think that the more casual students are the ones that are showing off their style, like the one in the video I mentioned in my last tweet.
But that’s my opinion, so I’ll let you decide what others think.
I love the latest in fashion because it brings so much casual coolness to the whole idea of going to college. I think the latest trend of college students is to dress and act like they have fun and like they are cool. It’s not that they wear more clothes, but they dress like they do. It’s like the fact that a woman wearing a mini skirt is a fashion statement and not a statement of the woman who wears the mini skirt. It’s an act of casualness.
I know what you are thinking, “This is so cool that you’re wearing one of those dresses with all the bells and whistles. I thought this was the next big thing.” But no, this isn’t the next big thing. And I think it is going to die because I think the fact that it is the next big thing just means that it is going to catch on with the right people.
In my opinion, college fashion is already a big deal. I recently saw a YouTube video of a woman who wore an outfit from the fashion show at the Fashion Institute of Technology. It was so cute and elegant. But it was also a statement, which can be seen as one way to say that the fashion show is not for everyone.
