I love my wedding planning and I love my wedding photos. I don’t think I can ever be the same. It’s like that song everyone sings at weddings…you know, “When you’re married, you’re married…you may not feel that way right away, but you will, you will, you will!” It’s like that, and I love it.
I’m not sure if I’ve ever been so happy. But we’re getting married this fall in Boston to my best friend Emily, and I’m so excited that we’re getting married in the city where I grew up, and I’m excited about what the future has in store for me and Emily.

But, here’s the thing. All those wedding-related activities involve going to a place where you grew up. You got to go where you grew up. So it would make sense for me to be excited about getting married in the city where I grew up. But, I guess that’s the thing. We all get excited about our weddings, even if it’s just because it’s our wedding. But, it’s still not the same as actually getting married.
Wedding planning can be a very emotional process, and it’s not uncommon for people to feel a bit overwhelmed by it. So when it comes to planning your wedding, the reality is, you are not going to be able to take it all in at once. Like most other steps in life, it takes time to sort through all the emotions and understand what you want. The only way to really feel at peace is to get married.
Now that you have the wedding date written down, the only thing left to do is to write down all the other things you want from the day. That’s why I recommend a list. Your list will grow by adding things to it over time. This is a good strategy for dealing with a lot of emotions. For example, if you’ve asked the whole family to be there, you may find that you’re feeling a little overwhelmed.
