Anyone who is ready to do the work necessary to be amazing, beautiful and alive. You are welcome because of, and in spite of, who you are and where you have come from. Please do not let gender, race, class, religion, culture, education or any other barriers keep you from being part of this opportunity. You are needed and wanted in our support group. We’ll dive in deep and not let fear keep us from expressing who we really are. We’ll explore what makes us amazing and far from amazing, where we need to grow and what gets in the way of growing, how to trust ourselves and others and what obstacles get in the way of trust.
I’ve been a Social Worker, Counselor, Educator, Community Organizer, Life Coach, Reiki Counselor, Teacher, Mentor, Traditional Usui Reiki Teaching Master and Spiritual Guide ever since. I’ve tried to the point of breaking, to find my way in this world flying solo, it didn’t work. I have clarity about us humans, and what works and doesn’t, I am not always right, but at least headed in the right direction. I listen a lot and effectively, even though I talk a lot. I’m intense, fun, funny and incredibly resourceful.
Edie can’t handle sidewalks, or traffic, or crowds, or umbrellas, or thunder. She’s a country dog who needs solitude – and daily Prozac – to cope. Although she was the not the dog we wanted, she turned out to be the dog we needed, teaching us to slow down our lives along with hers. “I’m a crazy dog lady, and I just am so in love with them.”
They will have to so something eventually, I can’t see the EU whose member nations do have hate speech laws letting this rabbit hole continue for much longer. Dilemas are, who gatekeeps the gatekeepers, and how much do they want to act like a publisher vs a town square. If too much, maybe they’d become liable for the content they publish. They aren’t some scrappy startup anymore, they are the big dog in the space and doing those kinds of things doesn’t exactly signal that all is well. I’d make sure you have good backups. Medium doesn’t feel like it’s going to be around for a long time.
I get tired of people’s perfect pictures. I notice how “experts” make readers feel stupid because of their mistakes. I might have done it in the past myself, just to hide my own insecurity.
Wholehearted writers don’t write to impress, to big themselves up, to show off as more expert than someone else. From getting started through to publishing, this community of writers gives advice and lessons learned. Check out this article about how one writer started to make money on Medium with the help of Smart Blogger Founder Jon Morrow. I didn’t mention this above though, which is that Medium readers seem to be very high quality. They share posts out on social media, so they’re good for helping get the word out, and a lot of them are people I end up meeting in other contexts.
That’s the root of making a trustworthy article. By coaches based on results we’ve seen in the real world. Write from your own substantial personal expertise. That’s the core of producing a trustworthy article. But they should see me as a friendly robot.
For a long time, I’ve been tying my self-worth to what I do , and it’s taking me time to untangle that connection but the effort has been worth it. I like to think, too, that I’m chatting with a reader like you while drinking a cup of tea. Contents like this has helped exposed a bit of the blogger while still making him a professional at his work.
